The Gnome Run
Look for our woodland friends as you run through the forest!
This Mud & Chocolate Trail Run is extra fun! It includes all the good stuff from our usual Mud & Chocolate events, but adds the chance to find gnomes and win a special prize.
Here's how it works...
There are three adorable Mud & Chocolate gnomes watching runners along the race course, each with a name for you to remember. Finish the race, tell us all three names and you'll get a special prize!
Not sure you can look for gnomes and run? No worries, If you don't find the gnomes, you'll still get a chocolate medal, a Seattle Chocolate bar and a trip to our chocolate finish table. Half marathoners will also get one of our huge, sparkly commemorative medals.
The Gnome Run is held at Soaring Eagle Park in Sammamish. This beautiful park offers rolling, moderately technical single track trails. It’s a great park with lush greenery! Because there are some rocks and roots, we recommend you try trail running before you sign up for this race. The 4.5 mile and the half marathon events will use the same loop course once inside the park. Half marathoners will make the loop three times, swinging by the aid station twice. This is a trail run so there will not be additional aid on the course. Please plan to carry whatever additional aid you might need. For those of you familiar with Soaring Eagle, we avoid the biggest hill in the park, but there are some rollers. This park has many little trails, so we work really hard to make sure the race courses are marked very well!
